CHAIRMAN OF TURKIC LANGUAGE ORGANIZATION VISITED THE INSTITUTE OF MANUSCRIPTS
Dr.Mustafa S.Kachalin – professor, chairman of Turkic language Organization – one of the powerful language centers of Turkish Republic – visited the Institute of Manuscripts. Honorable guest met with Teymur Karimli – academician, academic – secretary of the department of Humanitarian sciences of ANAS, director of the Institute of Manuscripts.
Results of doctoral mimimum examination held on december 11, 2015 at the Institute of manuscripts of ANAS
On December 11, 2015 doctoral minimum examination on 7213.01 – “Religious study” and 3356.01 – “Studying of library work, bibliography and bibliology” was held at the Institute of Manuscripts of ANAS named after Mahammad Fizuli .The examination was held in electronic test form for the first time in the history of the Institute.
SEVERAL COLLABORATORS OF THE INSTITUTE WERE AWARDED
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of ANAS, Department of Humanitarian Sciences of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences awarded several collaborators of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Mahammad Fizuli with "Fakhri Farman" - Diplomas:

Baghirov Akram Dakhil oglu - PhD in Philology
Najafov Azizaga Bayram oglu - PhD in Philology
Academician-secretary of the Department of Humanitarian Sciences, academician Teymur Karimli congratulated the collaborators and presented them the diplomas.
A WELL-KNOWN COMPOSER PRESENTED HIS FAMILY PHOTOS TO THE INSTITUTE OF MANUSCRIPTS
Eldar Mansurov, a well-known Azerbaijani composer has visited the Institute of Manuscripts, presented the electronic version of his family photos and newly published book "Mansurovlar" which was compiled by him. In the photo collection are found 81 photos on the history of the Mansurov's generation. Eldar Mansurov promised to present the Institute of Manuscripts other photos from the archives of the family and copies of the documents.
INSTITUTE OF MANUSCRIPTS IS EXTENDING ITS RELATIONS
4 November Consultant at UNESCO, specialist on restoration and preservation of manuscripts Stavros Andreou (Cyprus, Limassol) visited the Institute of Manuscripts of ANAS. S.Andreou saw the condition of preservation and restoration of manuscripts and work experience of the collaborators in the laboratory of restoration. He said that visiting our institute he wanted to know the Institute of Manuscripts. Then he declared their organization has close relations with all manuscript centers, libraries and laboratories of the world, gives them advice, helps to buy necessary appliances and preparations. Mr.Andreou appreciated the works done on preservation and restoration of manuscripts in the Institute of Manuscripts, promised to support our institute. Deputy Director of the Institute Pasha Karmov, Doctor of Philology gave some information about the works and plans conducted in the Institte of Manuscripts on preservation and restoration of the manuscripts. The leadership and collaborators of the Institute thanked to the specialist of UNESCO for his advice and proposals of collaboration.

A NEW BOOK BY THE RESEARCH WORKER OF OUR INSTITUTE WAS PRESENTED TO READERS
According to the order No 3 of the Academic Council of the Institute of Manuscripts dated 1 May 2015 was published Ahmad Anatollu's book named "Between ourselves". A.Anatollu was a well-known actor and poet. The book was prepared for the publication by Sona Khayal (Hadiyeva). Besides, the preface was also written by S.Khayal. The editors are Maarif Teymur, PhD in Philology and Azizaga Najafzadeh, PhD in Philology. Most of the poems found in this book were taken from the books “Couplets” (1925), “Bitter truth” (1925), “Slap” (1927), “A big needle” (1930) which had been published while the poet was alive. The presentation of the book “Between ourselves” devoted to A.Anatollu’s 120th anniversary, was held at Natavan Club of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers on 12 October 2015. Many men of science, cultural workers and the poet’s family members took part in this ceremony. They shared their memories about Ahmad Anatollu.
THE SCHOLAR OF THE INSTITUTE OF MANUSCRIPTS TOOK PART IN THE 8TH ATATURK INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
Under the patronage of Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan and Rajab Tayyib Ardogan, Prezident of Turkey, the eighth rally of the 8th Ataturk International Conference of world historians was held in Azerbaijan - Ganja, old city for the first time. The conference was held 13-15 October, 2015 by common efforts of Yagub Mahmudov, director of the Institute of History of ANAS and Mehmet Ali Beyhan, head of Ataturk Research Center of Turkey. Tahira Hassanzadeh, major scientific researcher, Doctor of History took part in this conference with her lecture named "Ganja in the travel books of Gajar period in the 19th century" and got a certificate.
COLLABORATORS OF THE INSTITUTE OF MANUSCRIPTS TOOK PART IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE HELD IN NAKHCHIVAN
15-17 October 2015, the collaborators of the Institute were sent on an official journey to Nakhchivan University for the purpose of participating in the International Conference on the subject "Historical Silk Way and the development of the economic-cultural relations of Nakhchivan" The conference was organized with the cooperation of Nakhchivan University, Nakhchivan section of ANAS, Nakhchivan State University and Ardahan University. October 16, the participants visited Great National Leader Heydar Aliyev's monument and Heydar Aliyev Museum, the new building of Nakhchivan University and exhibition of new books. The conference started its work with the plenary meeting, then continued in 6 sections. During two days, 6 collaborators, 1 doctoral student of the Institute of Manuscripts lectured in the separate sections. The lectures were on "Mutual impact of the civilizations of the East and West in Nakhchivan environment during the 19th century" by Aynur Najafova, "Authorization given by Mahammad Ali Nakhchivani to his student" by Zakiyya Abilova, "The Atabey from Azerbaijan in Nizami's work "Khosrov and Shirin" by Azizaga Najafov, "Gonchabayim, poetess from Nakhchivan" by Akram Hassanov, "Seven seas in Piri Rais's work "Kitabi-bahriyya" by Tahira Aliyeva, "Libraries of Nakhchivan: searching the ways of modernization" by Sevil Zulfugarova, "Ancient Turks and Silk Way" by Elvin Babayev. These lectures roused great interest and our collaborators conducted scientific debates.
With the organization of Nakhchivan University the participants visited Husseyn Javid mausoleum, "Khan Sarayi" State Historical and Architectural Complex, "Duzdag" Cure Comlex, "Nakhchivangala" Historical architectural Museum Complex, the prophet Noah's grave, Momina Khatun Mausoleum and other historical places. The scholars led scientific discussions and shared information. The participants of the Conference left Nakhchivan with great and deep impressions.
STUDENTS OF AZERBAIJAN STATE UNIVERSITY OF CULTURE AND ARTS VISITED THE INSTITUTE OF MANUSCRIPTS
October 20, 2015, in the frame of the subject "Textual study" students of the fourth year studying on “Art activities and on-screen drama” at Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts visited the Institute of Manuscripts under the leadership of Gulshan Aliyeva-Kangarli, Doctor of Philology, Professor. Pasha Karimov, Doctor of philology, deputy director, Azizaga Najafov, PhD introduced to the students the molds of the old manuscripts, rare manuscripts with ornamental patterns, rare old manuscripts, old printed books preserved in the exposition hall, gave some information about sources of the different science fields. Then in the laboratory of preservation and restoration of books were exposed the samples of restored and bound books by Zaur Orujov and other collaborators. The students left the Institute with deep impressions.
